会议介绍 About

中国设计教育伴随全球化浪潮而发展。一方面我国当代设计教育是国际文化交流的产物，另一方面，经济全球化是设计教育蓬勃发展的时代动因。因此，设计和设计教育自带全球化的本质特征，全球化的潮汐必然推动设计教育的涌动。本次论坛旨在探讨如何面对在新的全球化浪潮中的挑战和机遇：如何有效利用国际资源与合作，如何坚守设计教育的核心价值与精神，设计教学上如何兼顾传统文化底蕴与跨文化输出能力等等问题。作为国内首批加入Cumulus 联盟单位和现任Cumulus执委单位， 江南大学设计学院希望以会议为契机，与联盟伙伴一道，共同探讨新的全球化潮汐下的设计教育。

本届研讨会同时也是2024民生智慧·设计未来系列国际会议V：回应本质的一个重要组成部分，大会将于2024年11月8-9日期间同步在江南大学举办，会议聚焦基于“民生智慧·设计未来”系列国际会议整体框架，以“回应本质”为主题，旨在汇聚全球设计领域的精英学者与实践者，深入探讨在全球化与复杂挑战交织的当下，设计如何回应其本质。会议期间，将同步举办国际艺术与设计院校联盟Cumulus中国区研讨会、国际社会创新与可持续设计联盟DESIS研讨会、研究与实践高水平人才培养论坛暨江苏省设计学学科联盟高校年会、期刊与设计学交叉学科建设国际论坛等多个专题会议和平行分论坛，通过多平台、跨学科对话，推动对学科前沿话题的深度研讨，促进设计教育在中国式现代化新发展阶段的转型和进步。大会主链接：/info/1072/6558.htm

China's design education has developed with the tide of globalization. On the one hand, contemporary design education in China is the product of international cultural exchanges, and on the other hand, economic globalization is the driving force for the vigorous development of design education. Therefore, design and design education have the essential characteristics of globalization, and the tide of globalization will inevitably promote the surge of design education. The purpose of this forum is to discuss how design education shall face the challenges and opportunities in the new wave of globalization: how to effectively use international resources and cooperation, how to adhere to the core values and spirit of design education, and how to take into account traditional cultural heritage and cross-cultural export ability in design teaching. As one of the first batch of units to join the Cumulus Alliance in China and the current Cumulus Executive Committee, the School of Design at Jiangnan University hopes to take the conference as an opportunity to discuss design education under the new tide of globalization with Cumulus members and partners across the globe.

In the meantime, the 2024 Livelihood Wisdom and Design Future International Conference plays as an extra platform for Cumulus members that joins the seminar. Based on the overall framework of the series of international conferences on "Livelihood Wisdom and Design Future", the theme of the 2024 conference is "Responding to the Essence", which aims to bring together elite scholars and practitioners in the field of design from around the world to deeply discuss how design responds to its essence in the current era of globalization and complex challenges. Parallel discussions will also be hosted, such as the Research and Practice High-level Talent Training Forum and Jiangsu Design Discipline Higher Education Alliance Annual Meeting, DESIS Symposium: The Essence of Social Innovation and Design Response, New Quality Travel: Digital and Intelligent Experience of Future Transportation, Inheritance and Regeneration of Rural Human Settlements, International Forum of Academic Journals and the Construction of Designology as an Interdiscipline , Culture and Esthetics Creation- Cultural Consciousness of Creation Design, AI-Driven Public Art Innovation Ecology.

嘉宾简介：国际艺术与设计与院校联盟（Cumulus Association）主席，SID 意大利设计协会主席、EAD 欧洲设计学院执行委员会成员，罗马大学全职教授、建筑师、SDR Sapienza 设计研究中心的主任。意大利设计协会（SID）董事会成员，欧洲设计学院（EAD）执行委员会成员，欧洲大学协会（EUA）成员，并担任多所国际大学的客座教授。他的研究兴趣集中在新技术和人工制品的叙事、社会和伦理影响上，目前的研究着眼于设计行业在当代社会中的新表达和关键角色。担任《设计原则与实践：国际期刊》(Common Ground Publishing，芝加哥）的联合编辑，以及《设计期刊》(the Design Journal) (Bloomsbury Publishing，伦敦）的编辑顾问委员会成员。

嘉宾简介：普利茅斯大学艺术设计与建筑学院副教授，数字艺术与技术课程负责人，江苏英国高水平大学联盟项目负责人、CODEX国际研究网络-英国普利茅斯大学博士学位中英联合指导项目负责人；其研究兴趣根植于多年跨学科实践，专注于具身网络理念。Corino持续深耕“事物”与“对象”在物联网中的作用，提出了该领域的一种替代性表演设计方法。Corino 与 “IBM – Hursley 创新中心”合作创立智慧星球实验室，提出了“道具互联网”设计框架。
